What to expect from concentrates
- Transparent result – preserved depth and translucence ('crystal' effect).
- High efficiency – colours large batches of resin, suitable for tables, paintings, larger decorations.
- Fine and rich toning – from a light touch to intense, consistently clear colours.
Dosage and mixing
- Start very small: typically 0.1–0.5% of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B); increase as needed up to approximately 1–2%.
- Add the dye drop by drop to the already mixed clear resin and mix slowly for minimum bubbles.
- Shades can be mixed together; for large batches, record the ratios for repeatability.
When to use concentrate vs. diluted colours
- PouArt Concentrate – large volumes, 'crystal' projects, precise toning with one shade across multiple pours.
- Thinned Dyes – small jewellery batches, where it is necessary to dose drop by drop with maximum delicacy.
Tips for a crystal-clear result
- Colour in small steps; a light tone often looks more luxurious and increases depth.
- Pour thinner layers or colour only part of the volume and leave the rest clear for a 3D effect.
- Avoid overheating with hot air – it can change the shade and introduce micro-bubbles.
