What you can create with foils

Luxurious metallic accents in castings – delicate veining on coasters and trays, edge gilding on bowls, eye-catching flakes in jewellery, or striking surfaces on resin paintings.

How to apply in epoxy

1. Preparation: tear the sheet into small flakes or cut out larger shapes. Use tweezers/a brush to prevent the foil from sticking to your fingers.
2. Layering: For a clear and dimensional look, pour in two stages – first a thin, clear layer, then place the foils, and then cover with a clear layer.
3. Marble & Veins: Apply small pieces along the planned line and gently "comb" them with a dry brush.
4. Gilding Edges: After sanding the edge, lightly coat it with a thin layer of clear resin and press pieces of foil onto it, then seal with a clear layer.

Tips for a Perfect Effect

• Less is More: Start with a small amount – the foil reflects light very intensely.
• Combining with Pigments: Transparent colours and pearl/mica add depth without losing the "metallic" shine.
• Smoothing the Surface: If the foil protrudes in places, add a final thin clear layer after gentle sanding.

Care and Safety

• Not intended for contact with food; use for decorations, jewellery and interior accessories.
• Work in gloves and according to the instructions for your resin; store in a dry place and away from direct sunlight.
