Metallic powders blue shades

Metallic Powders – Blue Shades

Blue-toned metallic (pearl) powders for casting resin create rich, opaque “metallic” surfaces and striking reflections. Great for jewellery, tabletops, paintings and decorations. Basic and effect variants available – Solid (full colour), Pearl (strong reflection), Deep (deep tones) and various grain sizes (µm). Metallic powders make the resin opaque.

How to read the labels

  • Grain size (µm) – higher number = coarser particles and stronger structured glitter.
  • Pearldistinct pearlescent sheen, dynamic light reflections.
  • Solidfull, uniform colour with minimal reflections.
  • Deepdeep, saturated blue shades for accent areas and veins.

Dosage and mixing

  • Typically recommended 1–5 % of the weight of the mixed resin (A+B). Start with a pinch, add gradually.
  • Mix slowly into the already mixed clear resin – fewer bubbles, even dispersion.
  • For linking/veins pour from a slightly thickened mixture; for surfaces pour immediately after mixing.

Where blue shades stand out

  • Jewellery and pendants – cool, elegant accents from sapphire to turquoise.
  • Coasters, table tops – marine and ice motifs, contrasting veins.
  • Paintings/GEODE ART – layering Pearl + Deep for depth and light effects.
Warning: Metallic powders make the mixture opaque and can shorten the pot life. Do not exceed the recommended dosage and always do a small test on a sample.
